- Italked to a texas oil investor while on vacation skiing in Colorado. He said the refineries are there to fill ships, not our gas tanks. He makes millions on exporting oil...duh. Anyone thinking oil companies care about where their goes is stupid or very naive.

- During Viet Nam we were scorned. I was stationed in Massachusetts in the 60s and had to hide my base registration from the local patriots that would stone my car if it said L.G. Hanscom Fld. on it. Thank God our honorable young troops don't have to defend a nation that hates them.

- Leon Panetta was trying to create a memorial to himself. It disgusts me to see politicians use their position for recognition. He stepped on the graves of the fallen and spit in the face of real warriors. I will remember him as a do nothing swine.

- This is the kind of crap that cost us money for no reason. The time spent on ridiculous trivia could be used productively. What is protocol but a vehicle for those with a little power to flex their muscles for no reason. Get real, these people did no harm to the sacred DCFD or anyone else.

- USAF 1964-1992. I saw a drastic increase in medals when we went all-vol. I saw people awarded the Bronze Star for a short TDY to Viet Nam and for packing up offices in Afghanistan with no enemy around except the locals. Badges and medals are now automatic trinkets to decorate everyone.

- I served in the 60's when the elites were hostile to the "stupid" military. They didn't know the military ran the space program, not NASA. They didn't know the military developed the spin-offs, not Harvard or Yale. Gosh it seems like they were the stupid ones and still are.
